Our story

I spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. In that job, the details are everything: every part checked, every job done right the first time.

I've always had the heart of an entrepreneur, and after two decades of service I decided it was time to build something of my own. Silver Fox Snacks is that something.

The name is a little play on words. I've got the silver hair, and the fox brings the attitude. Our saluting fox is a nod to the service members, veterans and families who've been such a big part of my life.

Every batch gets the same care I gave every engine I worked on: done right, sealed tight and ready for whatever adventure you're headed on.

Questions & answers

What is freeze-dried candy?

It's candy with almost all of its moisture removed in a freeze dryer. That makes it puff up and turn light and crunchy, and the flavor gets even stronger.

Are these the same candies I buy at the store?

We start with popular candies and freeze-dry them, then sell them under our own Silver Fox Snacks names. We're not connected to the companies that make the originals.

How should I store it, and how long does it last?

Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place. Once it's open, reseal it tight. Moisture in the air is what makes freeze-dried candy lose its crunch.

Do you have allergy information?

Our products are made in a facility where milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soy are used. If you have a specific allergy, please ask us before ordering.

Do you ship?

Yes. Ask for a shipping quote when you order and we'll let you know what's available for your area. Local pickup in Summerville is always an option.

How do I pay?

We'll go over payment options with you when we confirm your order.

How long does an order take?

Freeze-drying takes time, so we'll give you a ready date when you order. Bigger and custom orders may take a little longer.

Can I get something that's not on the menu?

Probably! Tell us what you'd like and we'll let you know if it freeze-dries well.

Do you do party favors or bulk orders?

Yes. Birthdays, showers, holidays and events are a great fit. Reach out with your date and how many bags you need.
